ASCCA was well represented at the California Small Business Day event held today at the Sheraton Grand Ballroom, Sacramento, CA. The event honored small business throughout the State who were selected as the Small Business of the Year in their district and were selected by their Legislator.
Attendees were addressed by several key legislators and government small business representatives including:
- Darrell Steinberg, President pro Tem Senate
- Toni Atkins, Speaker of Assembly
- Connie Conway, Assembly Minority Leader
- John Perez, Speaker Emeritus
- Donna Davis, Small Business Administration
The annual event is organized by the California Small Business Association (CSBA), which ASCCA supports. The CSBA provides valuable information and resources for small businesses and is a leading advocate for the small business community, making sure their voice is heard in state and federal government. ASCCA has worked with CSBA to support legislation that is pro small business and likewise opposed “job killer” bills. The CSBA event is a wonderful opportunity for ASCCA to support an organization that advocates for our members and small businesses throughout California. It underscores the economic impact that small business has on California’s economy. ASCCA will continue our efforts to make sure that small businesses can not only survive, but can thrive.
